Welder

What you'll actually be doing

This is a Welder II role with a well known manufacturer in the fabrication space. You won't just be burning rod all day; you'll work from engineering drawings, process sheets, and real time direction from team leaders. You'll set up and use weld jigs, fixtures, and positioners to get parts in the right spot. Then you load them, position them, align them, secure them, tack them up, finish weld them, and unload them ; all with accuracy. It's your job to check your own work for quality on welds, appearance, and overall specs. You'll also adjust machine settings when materials vary so the weld stays solid.

What you need to bring

• High School Diploma or a GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of welding experience ; or a completed technical diploma or certification in welding counts too.
• You can read and understand simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• A real eye for detail and a serious commitment to safety and quality standards.

The schedule and pay

Shift: 1st or 3rd shift options are available here at Wichita, KS.

Pay range: $26.35 to $28.35 per hour depending on experience.
