This is a hands on role for someone who genuinely believes fitness changes lives. You’ll lead group classes and work one on one with clients in Waterbury, CT, helping them build confidence and reach their personal health goals. Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and instruct engaging group fitness sessions across various formats.
• Conduct initial client assessments to establish baseline fitness levels and discuss objectives.
• Provide clear, safe exercise modifications for participants of all abilities.
• Maintain the workout area, ensuring equipment is clean and functional.
• Motivate clients through consistent encouragement and tracking progress with them.

Requirements

• A nationally accredited certification (like ACE, NASM, or ACSM) is required.
• Current CPR/AED certification must be kept up to date.
• You need a real knack for reading a room; energizing a 6 AM class requires a different approach than an evening session.
• Previous experience teaching groups is a big plus.
• The job involves demonstrating exercises, which means you’ll be active on your feet for most of the day.
