What You'll Be Doing

You're the clinical hub. A physician supervises, but you're running point on a wide range of duties to keep things moving smoothly and safely.

  • Perform and transmit diagnostic X ray images based on provider orders. You'll manage the equipment and follow all safety protocols.
  • Handle patient intake, vitals, BMI, and other testing like EKGs, spirometry, vision, and hearing tests.
  • Your phlebotomy skills will be used daily for venipuncture and point of care lab testing.
  • After demonstrating competency, you'll prepare and administer certain medications: oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal, as ordered.
  • A big part of the job is managing patient flow. You'll communicate constantly with patients and families, escort them through care, and assist with discharge so everything is clear for them.
  • You make follow up calls for lab results and patient experience, always professionally.
  • Supporting the provider during exams and assisting other team members when things get busy is expected.
  • There's administrative work too. You'll help with front desk intake basics and keep your space ready: cleaning, stocking, and sterilizing equipment and patient rooms.

The Must Haves (No Exceptions)

These aren't preferences; they're requirements to get in the door.

  • An Associate degree is required.
  • You must have completed an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • A current state license to practice in Maryland, Virginia, or DC.
  • A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience & Fit

The ideal candidate has been in a similar setting before and gets how urgent care operates.

  • A 2 year externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting is part of your training background.
  • They'd prefer you have about 2 years of actual medical office experience under your belt. It helps you hit the ground running.
  • You need to embrace technology; proficiency with electronic health records is key.
  • Adherence to all compliance guidelines; safety, infection control, OSHA; is non negotiable. You'll complete all required training modules.
  • The way you communicate matters. Promoting respect with patients, families, vendors,and co workers is how they operate here. It’s about confidence and exceeding expectations quietly.

    The hiring pay range for this position is $29.73 to $53.49 per hour.
