Oncology RN

Alright, let's talk about this Oncology RN position at MedStar Georgetown in Washington, DC. This isn't your average infusion gig. You're working within the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, which is the only NCI designated comprehensive cancer center in the entire DC region. The Work

You're providing skilled nursing care for patients receiving chemotherapy, involved in research protocols, or undergoing BMT. Your day is built around assessing evolving patient conditions, identifying both actual and potential health concerns, and developing the care plans to manage them. You'll deliver interventions directly and coordinate care through collaboration with the rest of the nursing team. It's complex, compassionate work for patients and their families.

What You Need to Bring

• A nursing degree: an ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited school.
• If you come in with an ADN, you'll need to enroll in a BSN program within your first year and finish it within four years of your start date.
• At least one solid year of hospital based nursing experience.
• An active DC RN license is mandatory.
• You also need Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either the AHA or the American Red Cross.

The Schedule & Pay

This is a full time role working four 10 hour shifts every week. The schedule covers days and evenings with rotating weekends.

The hiring pay range is $41.78 to $63.66 per hour.
