Alright, let's talk about this CVOR RN role at MedStar Union Memorial in Washington, DC. You'd be joining a specific team of 18 nurses who work directly with three dedicated Open Heart Surgeons and five Vascular Surgeons. It's a tight, expert crew.

The Work

This isn't a general OR gig. You're in the Cardiovascular Operating Room. The cases are complex: vascular surgery, open heart, catheter based valve procedures, TEE, cardioversion, and thoracic cases. It's high acuity, advanced surgical care every day.

You need to be proficient in both scrubbing and circulating. Versatility isn't just nice to have; it's how the unit runs. You'll assess patient conditions as they evolve, identify health concerns, and develop care plans. Your interventions might be direct or coordinated through the nursing team.

Schedule & Logistics

The schedule is four 10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday. There are on call requirements and holiday call rotations. Full time and per diem positions are open.

The hiring pay range is $35.00 to $56.91 per hour.

What You Need to Bring

• An ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing.
• An active Maryland RN license or an active Compact State RN license.
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers from the AHA or American Red Cross.
• Previous clinical nursing experience is preferred.
