What You'll Be Doing

Your main gig is performing CT scans across multiple sites. But there's more to it than that. You'll schedule patients, prep them for exams, and double check their charts and orders before anything starts.

• You're scanning patients and monitoring them closely throughout the procedure.
• Administering contrast media is part of the job; you'll also assist with interventional studies when needed.
• After scanning, you film the images and get them to the radiologist for stat readings.
• A big part of this role is teaching. You'll develop criteria and train new employees and students on CT principles and techniques.
• Keeping things running smoothly is key. That means doing daily equipment warm ups and checks to make sure everything's operational.
• You'll stock the exam rooms with what's needed for procedures and order supplies when they run low.
• Specifically, you'll oversee the daily operation of the outpatient scanner.
• A fair amount of your time will be spent on records and reports. You'll log all exams in the radiology computer system, reconcile any errors, and verify everything meets quality standards.
• You handle all the necessary info system tasks for patient data, billing, and exams.
• When the supervisor is away, you're overseeing department activities and staff.

The Qualifications We Need

We need someone who's been formally trained. That means an Associate degree or 1 3 years in an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.

On top of that, we're looking for 1 2 years of progressively more responsible job related experience in this field.

• You must be ARRT certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• A current BLS certification (Basic Life Support) is required.
• If you've taken some additional coursework in management? That's definitely preferred.

The Details

The pay range for this position is $42.82 to $78.27 per hour. And that sign on bonus I mentioned? It's $25,000.
