Leidos

Account Manager

LeidosยทWashington, DC

About This Role

What You Will Be Doing

Leidos needs someone who actually likes helping people work with encryption gear. You will manage COMSEC accounts for NASA customers at Washington, DC and you won't just sit behind a desk pushing papers. You'll load cryptographic keys into encryptors, make sure those devices keep running without issues, and destroy COMSEC materials when the Central Office of Records says it's time.

You need to know the procedures inside and out. That means staying current with every CSOP, NASA Central Office of Records bulletin, and what's posted on the NASA COMSEC site. You'll also run bi annual inventories of all accountable COMSEC materials with a second person present. And when materials get shipped, you're the one making sure they leave your organization packaged the right way.

Beyond the daily nuts and bolts, you'll help steer the strategic direction of the work. That takes someone who can put together solid written reports, give clear presentations, and deliver metric data and analysis to the program and the customer.

What You Need to Bring

  • Previous experience doing this job. You have already been a COMSEC Account Manager.
  • Real knowledge of encryptors and the keys they use.
  • The ability to get a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience. More years of experience can replace a degree if you have them.

What Helps You Stand Out

  • Some understanding of basic Internet protocol network concepts and a general IT background.
  • An active Top Secret clearance already in hand.
  • A CompTIA Security+ certification.
