About This Role

The Role

This is a Nutritionist position with Aramark's Student Nutrition division, based in Tulsa, OK. You'll be working in a school food service environment, planning menus that actually meet kids' needs and follow government rules. The job is about making sure every meal served is both nutritious and something students will actually eat.

What You'll Do Day to Day

  • Plan all Child Nutrition menus using menu planning software, following USDA guidelines and Aramark's overall menu strategy.
  • Keep all required documentation for USDA, state, local, and client guidelines around meal services ; things like nutrient analysis of menus, CN/PFS labels, and USDA workbooks.
  • Coordinate how USDA Foods and commodities get used within the menus.
  • Support annual USDA Foods orders.
  • Help with the Food Management Process; oversee purchasing compliance and accuracy against the menu. That can include reviewing food orders when needed.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers so stocking, availability, and deliveries run smoothly.
  • Visit school cafes regularly to assess operations using audit tools like Controlling Food Cost, School Allergen Readiness Plan, and Administrative Review Preparedness.
  • Assist with training new employees on food safety standards, menu and recipe compliance, and proper portioning.
  • Provide support to students who need accommodations for dietary needs or food allergies. This might mean developing special menus or training front line staff.
  • Make sure everyone follows all client nutrition and wellness policies along with contract requirements.
  • Educate clients and consumers about healthy food choices through school trainings and community outreach.

What You Need to Bring

  • A registered dietitian nutritionist credential (RDN), or be RDN eligible within 6 months of hire.
  • A bachelor's degree from coursework accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
  • Successful completion of an ACEND accredited internship program plus a satisfactory exam score on the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) exam. Ongoing continuing education is also required to maintain your registration.
  • The ability to hold any other certifications, registrations, licenses, or credentials that apply in this role.
