Forklift Operator

The Job

BlueLinx is one of the largest distributors of building products in the country, with over 70,000 SKUs and roughly 2,000 associates. We're looking for a Material Handler / Forklift Operator to work at our distribution center in Tulsa, OK. This isn't a desk job. It's a hands on role where you'll be moving real materials and working with industrial equipment every day.

What You'll Actually Do

• Operate a forklift according to training guidelines and safety procedures
• Load, unload, and store building materials from trailers or rail cars without damaging them
• Pull materials through piece picks and bulk storage
• Complete the paperwork needed for distribution and shipping of products
• Inspect your equipment daily and handle basic maintenance tasks
• Keep your work area clean and organized
• Help with periodic inventory counts when they happen

Schedule & Pay

The wage here is fixed at $20.01 per hour. You'll work Monday through Friday on a consistent schedule. No rotating shifts or weekend surprises.

What You Need to Bring

• At least one year of recent forklift or warehouse experience
• The ability to operate a forklift safely for loading, unloading, and transporting products
• A safe work record along with stable work history ; that matters to us
• The physical capacity to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
• The ability to read sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, and similar documents
• A willingness to follow directions closely and occasionally work under pressure on your own
