The Job in a Nutshell

Afni is hiring an Insurance Agent in Tucson, AZ. You'll be handling mostly inbound calls from people looking to buy auto insurance. It's a sales role, but it's built on customer service ; helping callers find the right coverage and solving their concerns along the way.

What You'll Actually Do

• Take inbound calls and sell auto insurance policies to people who are already interested.
• Use product knowledge to troubleshoot issues and fix customer problems with empathy and efficiency.
• Process orders, update accounts, update records, and juggle multiple systems at once.
• Keep attention on details while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
• Work toward sales goals and look for opportunities to upsell products or services naturally.

What You Need to Have

• A minimum of 6 months in any sales role. That could be retail, phone sales, or something similar ; but you need proven experience selling things.
• Exceptional communication and active listening skills. You also need to calmly handle difficult situations professionally.
• The ability to navigate multiple computer systems without getting flustered.
• A quick thinking problem solver who's self motivated, works well independently, and manages time effectively in a home office setting.
• A sales focused mindset ; not just taking orders but looking for ways to help customers find more value (and sell more).
• A GED or High School Diploma. Be at least 18 years old. Legally allowed to work in the United States. Pass a background screening.

Schedule & Training Details

The training is pretty thorough: 2 weeks of licensing first, then 3 weeks of product training, then another 4 weeks of continued training after that. So you're looking at about 9 paid weeks before you're fully on your own. After training, you'll work 40 hour weeks with 8 hour shifts anytime between 7:30am and 12:30am EST ; including weekends and some holidays. The days can vary week to week.
