The Job

You're a server at Fricker's in Toledo, OH. You bring the personality, and we bring the food and drinks. It's a straightforward deal. You'll be on your feet, moving through a busy dining room, making sure people have a good time.

What you'll actually do

• Greet guests when they walk in, with actual enthusiasm.
• Know the menu well enough to suggest specials that fit what they're looking for.
• Enter orders into the POS system without drama.
• Run food and drinks, then circle back to make sure everything is going well.
• Clear and reset tables as they open up ; pre bus as you go.
• Handle cash and credit card payments accurately when it's time to close out checks.
• Thank each guest sincerely and invite them back. Not just words ; mean it.
• Check IDs according to state and local law. Serve alcohol responsibly ; that's not optional.
• Help other servers and managers out when things get busy. We're all in the same room together.

What you can expect from us

We train you from day one. Not just how to carry a tray or ring up an order ; but how to actually be good at this job long term. We coach you constantly, teach you as situations come up, and give you honest feedback about what's working and what isn't. No silent treatment here; if there's something to say about your performance, we say it directly and professionally because we want you to grow.

What we need from you

• A positive attitude. That one counts more than experience ever will.
• A proper uniform every shift that looks sharp ; don't show up half put together because it reflects on everyone around you.
• Flexibility when plans change or schedules shift unexpectedly; sometimes the job demands it.
• A real effort toward your own development over time; nobody else can do that part for you though we will help along the way
• A commitment to following company policies because they exist for a reason ; mostly safety fairness consistency across shifts

• And seriously please be yourself while having FUN doing it because otherwise where is the point? Teams work better when people aren't pretending
