Personal Care Aide

What you'll actually do here

This isn't just a job where you show up and go through the motions. As a Personal Care Aide at The Ashford of Mt. Washington in Toledo, OH, you're the person who makes sure our residents feel seen, safe, and valued every single day. You'll work as part of a real team that treats this place like home ; because for our residents, it is.

• Provide hands on personal care including hygiene and grooming
• Respond to call lights quickly and address resident or family needs
• Help residents get to activities, meals, and other community events
• Motivate and encourage residents to join in on activities
• Lift, turn, and reposition residents as needed throughout your shift
• Tackle other related duties as they come up ; no two days are exactly alike here

What you need to bring

We're looking for someone organized and self motivated who genuinely cares about the people around them. You don't need to be perfect ; just honest and willing to learn.

• A high school diploma or GED is required
• A current CPR certification is required
• A Nurse Aide Certification is a nice plus but definitely not required
• You can read and follow work instructions without trouble
• You communicate clearly with coworkers, residents, and families
• Previous experience in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community? That's a plus, not a dealbreaker if you don't have it yet.

The pay and schedule details

The starting rate is $16 per hour plus a shift differential. This role is available full time or PRN in Toledo, OH. We know life doesn't always fit into neat boxes, so we offer flexible scheduling options.
