Alright, let's talk about the front door. This is the host/hostess spot at Fricker's in Toledo, OH. You're the first hello and the last goodbye. That's a pretty big deal.

What you'd be doing

You set the tone. When someone walks in, you're there with a greeting, maybe letting them know about a special or an event. When they leave, you thank them and make sure they know they're welcome back.

• Managing the waitlist and getting people to their tables.
• Bussing tables to help keep things moving for the servers.
• Answering the phone is part of it, too.
• You'll handle carry out orders from start to finish: putting them in the system, suggesting add ons, checking for accuracy, and taking payment.
• The job is about helping out wherever it's needed; supporting servers and managers on the floor is all part of a day's work.
• The main goal? Make sure every guest leaves happy.
