About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this job. It's a technical role on the DOMEX Technology Platform contract, supporting the OSINT Integration Center. The work is for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, focused on standardizing how open source intelligence is handled.
What you'll be doing
You're the go to person for keeping things running and helping users. You'll be on site at our client location in Tampa, FL during standard business hours, but there's rotational coverage needed for the service desk as early as 6am or as late as 6pm, Monday through Friday.
- Handling Linux (this is your primary focus) and Windows builds, installations, configurations, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Making sure systems and networks meet DISA STIG compliance standards.
- Building and maintaining servers for both virtual and physical environments.
- Working with system integration tools like Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm.
- Writing scripts for patching, configuration, and automation; think Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Using configuration management tools such as Salt and Ansible to automate infrastructure tasks.
- Administering cloud environments; AWS is a big one here; which includes provisioning resources, monitoring performance, and optimizing setups.
- Providing direct customer support. You're the face of the service desk for our client.
- Coordinating with your teammates to make sure someone's always covering that 6 AM to 6 PM window.
The essentials you need to bring
A few things are non negotiable here. We need to see these on day one.
- A Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience. If you don't have a degree but have three extra years of experience in place of it? That works too.
- An active Top Secret clearance. You also need to be eligible for TS/SCI and a Polygraph.
- Real expertise in Linux systems administration; we're talking RHEL/CentOS and Ubuntu specifically.
- Hands on experience with patching using yum or APT repositories and building virtual servers from scratch.
- A working understanding of Agile project management practices and how security requirements are derived from policy.
- The ability to write scripts; Python or Bash skills are crucial here.
- The Government requires you to obtain a Privileged User Account certification once you start. So you must be able to get that PUA cert after hiring.
A few things that would really impress us
The list above gets you in the door. But if you've got experience with any of this stuff? That's fantastic. It means you can hit the ground running even faster on some specific pieces of our stack.
