The Work
You're the eyes and ears of the park. Your main job is to be a calm, professional presence that guests and fellow team members notice and feel reassured by. You'll handle a mix of routine tasks and situations that require quick thinking.
- Patrol the entire property on foot or in a vehicle. That includes buildings, parking lots, and animal areas.
- Respond to calls for help or reports of safety issues.
- Interact with guests to answer questions and proactively address concerns.
- Investigate incidents and write detailed reports about what happened.
- Check bags at entry points and inspect vehicles coming in or out to prevent theft or contraband.
- Control access points for vehicles and employees, checking IDs.
- Operate from both mobile units and fixed posts around the park.
- Maintain activity logs and manage keys for different areas.
- Work alongside law enforcement when they're needed on site.
What You Need to Bring
A lot of this job is about judgment, awareness, and being able to handle yourself. Here are the specifics we need you to have or be ready for.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid state Driver's License is required.
- A current Class D Security License is mandatory before you start.
- The schedule includes weekends and holidays; that's part of the job here. Shifts run on a rotation: 1st Shift (12:00am - 8:30am), 2nd Shift (8:00am - 4:30pm), or 3rd Shift (4:00pm - 12:30am). You could also be based at Adventure Island or Metal, depending on their operating hours.
- You must be willing to carry defensive equipment like handcuffs and OC spray, and you'll need the mental and physical readiness to learn our Use of Force policies.
- The role demands you can lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- You'll be on your feet most of the day, walking or standing for long periods, indoors and outside in all weather. There's bending, stooping, and climbing stairs involved too.
- We'll need you to pass a CPR/First Aid certification course we provide.
