Got a few years of litigation under your belt and find yourself drawn to the structure and strategy of appellate work? We're a national firm with over 100 attorneys, and we're looking for an associate to join our appellate practice in Tampa, FL.

The Work You'll Do

You'll be working directly with partners on complex cases. A big part of this role is diving into trial records, researching nuanced legal questions, and writing persuasive appellate briefs and motions. You'll also get to present oral arguments when needed.

But it's not just about appeals. You'll have a hand in managing cases at the trial level, too. That means you could be involved in discovery, taking depositions, drafting motions, attending mediations, or going to hearings.

You need to be the kind of person who can juggle several different cases and deadlines without letting anything drop. Keeping supervising attorneys and clients in the loop is just part of the job.

What You Need to Bring

• A J.D. from an accredited law school.
• An active license to practice law in Florida.
• Between two and five years of litigation experience. If that experience is in first party property or insurance defense matters, that's a major plus.
• A genuine interest in building an appellate practice.
• Strong skills when it comes to writing, research, and communication.

The Details & How We Support You

The pay range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 per year. Beyond that, we try to make life a bit easier.
