About This Role

The Job in a Nutshell

This is a full time Nurse Supervisor role with AccentCare, covering the Tampa, FL area. You'll lead a hospice team and make sure patients and their families get the right care at the right time. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with on call as needed. The salary range is $92,000 to $100,000 a year.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Supervise the team members who provide direct care to patients and families, working closely with the program site leadership.
  • Handle scheduling, payroll, and other admin duties to keep the team running smoothly.
  • Make sure all initial assessments and required reassessments get done by qualified staff within the necessary time frames, and that all documentation is submitted and synced properly.
  • Oversee and support the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) as they develop, implement, and review the plan of care for each patient and family.
  • Work with program site leadership to monitor, manage, and mentor staff on patient care activities, productivity, and documentation ; sticking to the relevant policies and protocols.
  • Participate in and promote "Back to Bedside" efforts to reinforce case management skills and the right knowledge and attitude across all disciplines.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to support staff education initiatives.
  • Facilitate IDG meetings and provide ongoing support ; that means triaging incoming calls, helping callers, and doing quality assurance calls.
  • Lead or take part in quality improvement activities, including collecting and aggregating data.
  • Reinforce and support all internal and external communications.

What You Need to Bring

  • You have at least 2 years of nursing leadership experience.
  • You've got 3 or more years of experience in hospice, home health, general medical surgery, oncology, or nursing focused on a specific patient population (like geriatrics or pediatrics).
  • You have at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • An associate degree is preferred.
  • A Certified Hospice Nurse (CHPN) credential is preferred.
  • You should have a valid CPR certification while you're in a clinical role (preferred).
  • You must be a licensed driver and able to travel to all business locations.
  • You need to meet the regulations and requirements of the state where the program provides services.
