Hey. If you're an RN Supervisor and picking up weekend shifts sounds better than your current plan, we should talk. Bishop in Syracuse, NY needs someone to run the floor on Saturdays and Sundays.
The rate is $50 an hour. That's the number.
What you'd be doing
You're in charge of the nursing staff for your shift. You'll make the assignments, handle the schedule, and make sure all resident care gets done.
- Create a supportive environment for residents and their families.
- You're the main source of information; answering questions from both staff and residents is a big part of the day.
- Keep things safe and clean by following; and enforcing; all policies.
- All resident documentation needs to be accurate and maintained.
- Protect confidential information.
- A big part of making it work is building a cooperative relationship with the entire healthcare team.
What you need to bring
- A valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- At least one year of experience in Long Term Care. This isn't optional; you need that background.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) software systems.
- The ability to direct the team positively. They'll look to you for guidance, especially on weekends when other leadership might not be on site.
The Schedule & Details
This is for weekend shifts. You'd work Saturdays and Sundays. The specific shift times would be discussed during the hiring process, but you can expect full shift lengths typical for a supervisory role in a 24/7 facility.
