About This Role
The Role
This isn't a desk job where someone hands you leads. You're a Commercial Producer joining an agency that actually feels like a team, not a number. People here stick around because the culture supports growth instead of just talking about it.
What You'll Actually Do
You'll hunt for new business and take care of the clients you already have. The balance is real.
- Prospect, network, and build relationships with commercial insurance buyers in St. Louis, MO and beyond
- Sit down with clients to figure out what their business actually needs, then recommend coverage that fits
- Keep existing accounts running smoothly through regular check ins and fast problem solving
- Work alongside underwriters and customer support to put together coverage that makes sense
- Stay current on market trends, regulations, and product changes so your clients don't get caught off guard
- Put together presentations, proposals, and quotes that actually get read
- Hit your sales targets ; individual and team ; without someone breathing down your neck
What You Need to Bring
- A track record working as an Insurance Producer or Commercial Lines Account Manager (or something close)
- An active Property & Casualty license right now. No exceptions.
- A solid grasp of commercial insurance products and how risk assessment works in practice
- The ability to listen, negotiate, and persuade without sounding like a scripted salesperson
- A history of actually hitting number based goals instead of just talking about them
- Comfort with CRM tools like they're second nature plus Microsoft Office fluency
- The discipline to manage your own time, prioritize without someone telling you exactly what's next, but also play well with others when collaboration matters more than going solo
- A genuine willingness to keep learning ; this industry changes fast and standing still isn't an option
Benefits & Compensation
There's real money here if you perform.
50% commission on new business
30% commissions on renewals (not many shops pay this high)
Health insurance that doesn't feel like a joke
401(k) with employer match
Generous paid time off that you're actually allowed to use
A supportive crew that wants to see you do better year after year
Remote flexibility: can be based in Tennessee; Illinois; Missouri; Kentucky; or Indiana
