About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this RN role at Valley Health in Spring Valley, NV. I've been placing nurses here for years, and they run a tight ship. It's a big system now; Valley, Centennial Hills, Spring Valley, Summerlin, Henderson, their specialty hospital, and the new West Henderson facility. That growth means they need pros who can keep up.

What You'll Be Doing

You're providing safe, competent nursing care. That's the core of it. You'll follow facility policies and standards, and their philosophy is all about Patient Centered Care; that concept is the foundation for everything.

You're also there to provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. You'll oversee and guide any employees under your supervision. And they're serious about their Service Excellence standards; you need to demonstrate those at all times.

What You Need to Bring

  • Your education needs to be from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • You also have to complete a Specialty course (or equivalent) within six months of your hire date.
  • A BSN is preferred, but not an absolute must have to start.
  • For experience, it's two years in acute care. If you don't have that, you can still qualify if you successfully complete an approved specialty course within those first six months on the job.

Licenses & Certifications (Non Negotiable)

Get your paperwork in order. Here’s the list:

  • A current RN license for the State of Nevada.
  • Current BLS Certification. That's required.
  • You need a current ACLS Certification for adult patients, or a current PALS Certification for pediatric patients, or a current NRP Certification for neonatal patients. Which one depends on your department.
  • Other certifications might be required by the specific facility, specialty, or department.
  • An approved Crisis Management Course is also required.

The Practical Stuff & Benefits

A couple of important conditions upfront: you must successfully pass any pre employment assessments the facility requires. And you have to sign an agreement to float to a minimum of three different Valley Health System facilities when needed.

The schedule isn't spelled out here, so we'd clarify that during the interview process based on unit needs.

The benefits package is solid. Really solid.

  • The compensation is competitive.
  • The Paid Time Off is generous; they don't skimp on it.
  • The medical plans are excellent; we're talking medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage all together as part of their core health benefits package.
  • A 401(K) with a company match plus access to a discounted stock plan. Career opportunities aren't just in one hospital; you can move within the entire Valley Health System and its parent company network. They have subsidies available. There's a comprehensive education and training center dedicated to keeping skills sharp. And look: they call it a challenging work environment because it is; but it's rewarding because you're part of something that actually helps people.
