Registered Nurse

Sanford Health·Sioux City, IA

About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this RN opening at the 25th Street Clinic in Sioux City, IA.

This isn't a hospital floor. It's a clinic focused on managing chronic pain. You'll work with patients on everything from education and long term management to assisting with specific procedures like kyphoplasty or joint injections. The goal is helping people feel better, and you're a central part of that process.

The Work

You're coordinating care for patients across the age spectrum in this ambulatory setting. That means assessments, patient education, and triage are your daily bread and butter.

  • You'll manage the flow, prioritizing patient and practice needs with solid time management.
  • A big part of the job is scheduling tests and interventions based on provider orders.
  • You need to be comfortable with electronic medical records; it's how the place runs.
  • Collaborating with providers during procedures, both surgical and non surgical, is expected.
  • While most work is planned, you've got to be ready for emergent situations that require quick assessment and critical thinking.
  • The role follows the professional nursing process for individualized care, from initial assessment through follow up.

The Schedule & Details

This is a full time position at 32 hours a week. The schedule is straight days: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

  • There are no evenings, no weekends, no holidays, and no call duty.
  • The pay range is $29.50 to $44.50 per hour. They offer experience credit toward that range.
  • There's also a $15,000 sign on bonus available.

What You Need to Bring

A nursing diploma or degree from an accredited program is required. Accreditation can come from places like AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA.

  • You must have an unencumbered RN license for the state where you'll practice (or a multistate license if in an NLC state).
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred but not mandatory.
  • You'll need to get any required department specific certifications after you start and keep them current.

Benefits at Sanford

They offer a benefits package for qualifying full time and part time staff. What you get depends on your eligibility.

  • The package can include health, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
  • There's a 401(k) retirement plan available.
  • A generous time off package is part of the deal too; they emphasize maintaining a balance between work and home life.
