What you'll do

You'll manage your own territory. That means visiting restaurants, hotels, schools, nursing homes, and other commercial customers. Your day involves a mix of service work and sales conversations.

  • Use a company tablet and phone to manage customer visits and recommend specific programs.
  • Explain the full value of our solutions to meet customer needs and grow sales with their existing accounts.
  • Your problem solving skills get used on laundry machines, dish machines, and chemical dispensing systems. You'll do preventative maintenance and fix things when they break.
  • Sometimes you provide emergency service, which could mean a phone call or showing up in person.
  • Help install new equipment and solutions for customers.
  • A big part of the job is showing customers how to use everything safely so their operations run smoothly.
  • You're also managing your own equipment, parts inventory, and controlling costs.

The details

This is a field based position covering Seattle, WA and the surrounding area. You need to be ready for the schedule it requires.

  • The initial training is 12 weeks. For two of those weeks, you'll travel to our corporate headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota. Ecolab covers the travel and related expenses. The other ten weeks are in field training. Just make sure you have proper ID like a Real ID to fly.
  • After training, you're managing your own established customer territory. If a specific territory isn't open right away, you might start in a supporting role until one becomes available.
  • The schedule generally requires working one weekend out of every eight, based on business needs.
  • A company service vehicle and cell phone are provided for business use. We pay for fuel. You get paid for drive time to sites and for time spent on vehicle maintenance.
