OPENLANE needs an Independent Contractor to do vehicle inspections at car dealerships in Seattle, WA. This is a 1099 gig, so you're your own boss, you set your own hours, and you work with minimal guidance. It's starting immediately.

What You'll Actually Do

You show up at dealerships and inspect vehicles. That's the core of it. You'll use your own equipment to get the job done right. No one is standing over your shoulder, so you need to be someone who can just handle the work without a lot of hand holding.

What You Need to Have

• A minimum of 5 years of automotive experience. This means you need a solid background as a vehicle mechanic or something equivalent. No shortcuts here.
• You must own and use a working iPhone with a data plan. OPENLANE's system does not support Android devices for inspections, so an iPhone is non negotiable.
• A basic OBD II scanner. That's your standard diagnostic tool.
• Reliable transportation to get to the dealerships in Seattle, WA.
• A valid driver's license.
