Who We Are
The Advocates are a personal injury law firm that's growing fast, with branches across the country. We represent victims of accidents, and we take that seriously. Our Pacific Northwest branch is based out of Seattle, WA, and we're looking for a litigation paralegal to work in Seattle, WA. You'd be joining a tight group of attorneys, legal assistants, paralegals, and staff who genuinely care about our clients and their recovery.
What You'll Do
This is a hands on litigation role where your day to day will shift between drafting documents and managing case logistics. Here's what the job actually involves:
- Draft pleadings like complaints and motions, then file them with western Washington courts
- Handle administrative tasks: calendaring hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, contacting witnesses, experts, and physicians
- Manage caseloads and calendars for multiple attorneys while making sure every local or county specific deadline gets calendared
- Provide trial support in person within Western Washington Superior Courts
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and arbitration evidence binders
- Coordinate with clients for discovery requests such as interrogatories and requests for admission
- Interview factual witnesses and damages witnesses
- Pull relevant information from sources like court rules or Westlaw
- Act as a point of contact for clients with consistent professional communication on case updates, case management, coordinating depositions ; whatever comes up

Priorities shift fast in this work; you've got to manage that independently. Think deductively. Extrapolate information. Move between the big picture and the fine print without losing your place.

You enjoy finding creative solutions when problems pop up. And you know how to communicate deadlines or requirements clearly even when those conversations go upward to directors or attorneys.
What You Need on Paper
- At least one year of civil litigation experience (this is required)
- At least one year of personal injury experience (also required)
- A clear history of attention to detail ; maintaining standards matters here
- A track record of being meticulous with record keeping
The Compensation Part
The pay rate for this role falls between $31 and $45 per hour.
