The role

This Marketing Manager position sits inside Weyerhaeuser's Corporate Development team (the CDO) and reports directly to the Director of Carbon Marketing. You'll be focused on executing the carbon portfolio's go to market strategy ; buyer engagement, transaction support, market analytics, credit forecasting, and financial modeling. The work is fast, priorities shift, and you'll juggle multiple projects at once. That's the rhythm here. This role is for someone who genuinely believes working forests are essential to natural climate solutions. The preferred locations are Hot Springs, AR and Seattle, WA. Candidates in other states where Weyerhaeuser operates will also be considered: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina.

What you'll actually do

  • Coordinate across functional teams to develop project marketing materials and respond to requests for proposals (RFPs), which means pulling together data and answering project specific questions.
  • Manage marketing activities and sales transactions alongside marketing partners, contractors, and external platforms.
  • Implement and oversee commercial agreements ; setting up processes and workflows to track project progress and collect timely feedback on deliverables and milestones.
  • Build and maintain credit forecasting tools so marketing and sales activities align with project planning, pipeline needs, and reporting.
  • Work across teams to refine modeling tools that analyze how strategic and tactical sales decisions affect the portfolio financially.
  • Monitor industry trends, draw real insights from them, and feed those updates into the strategic marketing plan, forecasting, and modeling.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives that fix marketing workflow pain points, all while keeping confidential materials, reporting standards, and communications consistent.

What you need to bring

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Forestry, Natural Resources, or a related field, plus at least 8 years of relevant experience. A Master's degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • You've been a leader before ; the kind who drives outcomes through collaboration, influence, and clear communication with audiences that range from technical experts to non technical stakeholders.
  • You communicate in a structured way. You can synthesize complex information, actually listen, and handle constructive disagreement without making it personal.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. You're solution oriented, and you've championed process improvement and innovation in previous roles.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills ; you use data to guide decisions and track performance.
  • At least 3 years of experience using AI enabled tools, implementing project management systems, and supporting API integrations in real operational workflows.
  • Working knowledge of forest carbon project design and some familiarity with environmental or sustainability market frameworks.

Compensation and benefits

This role is eligible for our annual merit increase program. The salary range we're targeting is $98,800 to $148,200, based on your skills, qualifications, and experience. You'll also be in the Annual Incentive Program, which targets a cash bonus of 10% of base pay. Actual plan funding can range from zero to two times that target.
