About This Role
Senior Accountant
This one's for someone who actually likes digging into the details. We're a growing company in Seattle, WA with real room to move up, and we need a Senior Accountant who knows their way around GAAP and either lease accounting or SEC reporting.
Depending on where your background sits strongest, you'll focus on ASC 842 lease accounting or financial reporting with SEC compliance. Either way, you'll be working with a team that values straight talk and analytical thinking.
What you'll do
- Own the end to end lease accounting process under ASC 842 ; from data entry to journal entries to reconciliation
- Keep lease schedules and related entries clean and accurate
- Work closely with real estate, legal, and procurement so nobody's guessing about lease terms
- Help implement and manage the lease system itself (including ongoing tweaks and admin)
- Support internal and external audits ; especially anything touching lease accounting
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or something close; CPA is preferred
- 3 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience ; public accounting or a public company background will stand out
- Solid U.S. GAAP knowledge; specific ASC 842 experience is required here
- You've used an ERP before (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite are all fine) ; bonus if you've touched CoStar or LeaseQuery too
- Advanced Excel skills that go beyond basic spreadsheets; familiarity with financial reporting tools helps
- Good communication skills ; you can explain what the numbers mean without getting lost in jargon
- A knack for organization and analysis without losing sight of the big picture
The basics on pay and benefits
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $95,000 per year. We've got excellent culture here, plus room for long term career growth if that matters to you.
