Registered Nurse

About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this Ortho Trauma RN spot at Memorial Health in Savannah, GA. I've been placing nurses here for years, and they run a serious operation. This is for someone who wants their work to matter on a tough unit and doesn't mind the paperwork that comes with it.

What you'd be doing

You're the nurse. That means you own the patient's experience from the moment they hit your unit. You'll assess them when they come in and every single shift after that; if something changes, you're the one spotting it and making the call.

  • You'll carry out orders from the providers; procedures, monitoring, all of it; and your charting has to be tight. Everything goes in the record, and it goes in on time.
  • Medication administration is on you. Give what's ordered, watch how they react, and handle it if things don't go as planned.
  • A big part of this is just being present. Answering calls quickly, figuring out what they need before they have to ask, and smoothing things over.
  • Then there's the teaching. You're translating doctor speak into plain English for patients and their families. They need to understand the condition, the plan, the meds with their side effects, and what happens next before they walk out the door.

The model they use is "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." Think of yourself as the quarterback for your patients' care while they're with you.

What you need to bring

The non negotiables first. You must be a Registered Nurse. Your education can be a Diploma, an Associate Degree, or a Bachelor's Degree.

You also need to get your Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within your first 30 days on the job if you don't have it already.

The schedule & pay

This is a full time position. The specifics on hours per week or shift rotation aren't listed here; those details usually come up in the first phone screen. The pay range isn't posted either; we can discuss that based on your experience once we connect.
