The Role

Epic Special Education Staffing is working with a school district in San Jose, CA that needs a contract Adaptive PE Teacher for the 2025 2026 school year. This role is on site and part time.

Schedule & Duration

The contract runs from August 17, 2026 through June 11, 2027. You'll work 16 hours per week with elementary and middle school students.

Pay

Weekly pay range is $ – $ per hour on a local contract.

What You'll Do

• Deliver adaptive physical education instruction to students at the elementary and middle school levels
• Modify activities and equipment to meet individual student needs and abilities
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to align PE goals with each student's IEP
• Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Create a safe, inclusive environment where every student can participate and succeed

Qualifications You Need

• A minimum of 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as an Adaptive PE Teacher within the last 3 years (residency or clinical practicum counts)
• A valid Adaptive PE Teacher credential or license in the state where you'll work ; or be in the process of getting one
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (proof required upon hire). Sponsorship for an employment visa is not available.
