What You'll Be Doing

• Making sure we have the right people in place by overseeing hiring, orientation, training, and performance management.
• Developing your team through coaching and regular feedback; you're the model for how things get done.
• Managing the lab's financials. You'll monitor budgets and resource use, identify where things are off track, and adjust to meet goals. Preparing a Monthly Operating Review is part of this.
• Keeping us accredited. You'll ensure compliance with CAP, JCAHO (The Joint Commission), CLIA, FDA, and CMS standards.
• Creating department policies and procedures and verifying they get an annual review.
• Handling key vendor relationships and supply contracts.
• Fostering open communication on your team; asking for input, encouraging suggestions about operations.

The Background We Need

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• You must have 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• At least 3 years of experience in laboratory leadership or management is also required.
