This is a full time RN role in Labor and Delivery at a 470+ bed hospital in San Jose, CA. You'd be stepping into a unit that functions like a family ; people who have each other's backs because the work demands it. And the pay range reflects that: $87.31 to $120.00 per hour, depending on your specific skills and years of experience.
What you'll actually do
- Assess and plan individualized patient care for labor and delivery patients
- Communicate with physicians about any changes in a patient's clinical condition
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
- Stay composed and professional, especially when things get intense
- Perform general nursing duties across all Maternal Child Health departments, with adequate supervision
- Maintain accurate, up to date patient charts
- Participate in performance improvement activities
- Act as the patient's advocate whenever it's needed
What you need to bring
- A current California Registered Nurse License
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- At least one year of full time equivalent acute care experience as a Registered Nurse
- At least one year of RN experience in your area of specialty (Labor and Delivery)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP certification
