HVAC Installer
About This Role
The Gig
Atlas Trillo Heating & Air Conditioning needs an HVAC Lead Installer in San Jose, CA. We're a full service residential heating and air contractor. This isn't a desk job; it's about getting your hands on real systems and making them work right for homeowners.
What You'll Be Doing
- Running standard retrofits ; swapping out old units, upgrading components, and handling replacements.
- Tackling air conditioning add ons: expanding or updating existing systems to handle what modern homes need.
- Heading out to different job sites around San Jose, CA as the schedule demands. Some days you're close, some days you drive a bit further.
What You Need to Bring
- At least 2 years of residential HVAC installation experience. No shortcuts here.
- A lead role mindset. You'll have a helper assigned to you, so you need to be comfortable directing someone else while still doing the work yourself.
- A working knowledge of local inspection codes. Inspectors don't cut slack, and neither should your work.
- EPA Certification. If you don't have it yet, we can help with certification assistance ; but you need to be willing to get it going quickly.
- A real work ethic. That means showing up on time, communicating clearly with customers, and treating every house like it matters.
- The willingness to crawl into attics and tight crawl spaces. And lift heavy objects regularly ; this isn't light work.
- Long hours when needed ; some days stretch long or hit weekends during peak seasons. That's part of the trade.
A clean background check, drug screen, and valid driver's license with a good driving record are all part of the deal before starting.
What You Get Back
- Earnings between $90k – $130k+ annually depending on how you perform. Performance incentives paid weekly via direct deposit so your bank account sees that money fast.
- A take home company vehicle along with a gas card. Plus a smartphone and tablet provided by us ; no using your personal stuff for work calls or maps anymore.
