About This Role

What this role is all about

As a Nephrology Dietitian, you're the person who helps patients with kidney disease figure out what to eat and drink so they can feel better, stay stronger, and live their lives fully. You'll use your nutrition expertise to educate patients on the best choices for their health and wellness when living with kidney disease. It's not just about handing out meal plans ; you'll assess each patient's nutritional needs, work with them and their families or caregivers to set real goals, build individualized nutrition plans, and stick with them to monitor how they're responding. You're supporting the nutritional health of patients at Satellite Healthcare, and your goal is to enhance their health, well being, and quality of life.

What you'll bring to the table

  • At least one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in clinical nutrition. Two years is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree and successful completion of a dietetic internship or supervised practice.
  • A Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • If you're working in Texas or Tennessee, you'll also need a state dietitian license.

What the job actually looks like

You'll work directly with a multi disciplinary team that cares as much as you do about making a difference. It's not a solo gig ; you'll be a servant leader, helping your team provide care that's genuinely unsurpassed. And you'll set the tone for patients so they can live a better life. You'll address their needs holistically, making sure dialysis is something they do to live, not something they live for.

You're high energy and you look for ways to improve the environment for patients and staff. You're goal oriented, and you get deep satisfaction from building relationships. You approach your work with an indisputable sense of greater purpose.

What you get out of it

  • Relationships. You'll be surrounded by people as passionate as you are.
