The Job

TRC Talent Solutions is looking for a CMM Programmer for a long term contract with an aviation manufacturer in San Jose, CA. You'll be working fully onsite, and you need to know Gear Pro. This isn't a junior role ; they're building cutting edge aircraft components, and your work keeps the quality system running.

What You'll Actually Do

• Inspect and maintain CMM machines regularly so they stay accurate and reliable
• Keep the CMM calibrated at all times
• Troubleshoot CMM related issues when they pop up and get them resolved quickly
• Make sure every measurement is traceable and complies with the company's quality management systems

What You Need to Bring

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Experience in metrology with programming skills specifically in Gear Pro, plus hands on work using CMMs, Laser Trackers, scanners, or arms
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience creating and approving first article inspections, along with working knowledge of the tools required for those inspections
• The ability to spot inspection errors or nonconformances and start corrective action when needed
• Experience with MES systems and creating inspection plans electronically
• A background working in a manufacturing environment ; aerospace or other highly regulated industries count
• The willingness to work within a team environment (because you won't be alone out there)

Bonus Skills That Give You an Edge

• An Associate degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering, or something related
• Experience creating real time dashboards using Sigma software
• A track record of developing or validating automated inspection equipment in a manufacturing setting, including work with SQL languages
• SAP experience ; especially if you've used it for quality tracking before
