What you'd do

You’d be assisting licensed care staff with clinical and technical tasks for assigned residents. Your shift would involve a mix of direct care and support duties.

• Help residents with activities of daily living.
• Provide dining and tray services, along with escort services.
• Perform vital signs and weights.
• Some light housekeeping related to resident care.
• You’re part of the care team, so you’d participate in quality improvement activities.
• A big part of the job is noting changes in a resident’s condition and reporting them as they happen.

What you need to have

A few things are non negotiable, and a couple others would be really helpful. Here’s the list straight from the hiring manager.

• A current state CNA certification is required; you must have this.
• You also need current CPR/AED certification.
• A current First Aid certification is required. If you don't have it yet, you must be willing and able to get certified.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience working with geriatric clients is also preferred.
• Basic computer skills, or the ability to learn them quickly, are needed.
• Depending on local rules, a food handler's certification or a Certified Medical Technician/Medication Aide certification might be required too.

The schedule & pay

This is an on call position. The pay range is $24.40 to $29.28 per hour. The application window for this posting will likely close 30 days after it goes up.
