About This Role
Alright, let's talk about this warehouse job in San Francisco, CA. It's a leadership position on the overnight shift, and it's pretty hands on. You'd be managing a team while also getting into the physical work yourself. The schedule is set for the first 90 days, so you can plan around it.
The Schedule (First 90 Days)
Here’s what your week looks like to start. After 90 days, it might shift a bit.
- Saturday: 1 AM to 7 AM
- Sunday: 1 AM to 9 AM
- Monday: 1 AM to 9 AM
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 1 AM to 7 AM

A mix of leading the team and doing the work alongside them. It's not an office job; you'll be moving.
- You're managing a team of Sortation Associates during the sort process.
- Overseeing facility operations and making sure people are in the right places.
- Pulling night reports and unloading trucks when they come in.
- Picking, packing, and shipping items, either on your own or with the team.
- Putting together warehouse equipment with hand tools.
- Safely moving or repacking inventory; some items weigh up to 50 pounds.
- Operating equipment like pallet jacks as you've been trained.
- The work involves reaching, crouching, bending; it's physically active all shift.
What You Need to Bring
A few things are non negotiable for this one. They're looking for someone who can step in and handle it from day one.
- Previous leadership experience is required. You've managed people before.
- You need a forklift certification, or proven experience operating one.
- General warehouse experience is a must.
- The role involves lifting between 35 and 60 pounds regularly.
- You have to be able to operate a pallet jack and a propane forklift safely.
- A big part of the job is training and motivating your team effectively.
A Note on Forklift Work & Safety
If you're operating a lift, you could be on a seated, stand up, or cherry picker type. You'll load and unload inventory responsibly. You'll be on your feet all shift in an active environment with machinery and large trucks moving around. Safety is paramount here; they expect you to go home in the same healthy state you arrived in. Don't take this assignment if you can't meet all the physical duties safely.
Dress code: If specific gear isn't listed, wear close toed shoes and pants. Some sites require steel toed boots; if you have them, bring them. Have your forklift certification with you if you've got it.
