Veterinary Technician

The Role

Jamacha Pet Vets in San Diego, CA is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician. This isn't a job where you'll be stuck doing the same thing every day. You'll be working at the top of your license, with a focus on surgical and anesthesia work.

Your days will involve providing patient care during surgical and dental procedures ; that includes anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and performing dental cleanings and radiographs. You'll help keep the surgical workflow efficient by anticipating what the team and patients need next. And you'll talk with pet owners to review treatment plans, answer their questions, and give discharge instructions with real empathy.

Schedule

This is a full time position on a 4/10 schedule. You'd work four ten hour days each week, Monday through Friday.

• $26 to $29 per hour (actual pay depends on your education, training, experience related to this role, plus geographic location where you work)

What You Need to Bring

• Three or more years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• A current Veterinary Technician License for California
• Surgery prep skills ; induction and monitoring of anesthesia plus surgery recovery experience is essential here
