About This Role
The Role
Clarvida needs a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for San Diego, CA. It's a contract position, part time at 29 hours a week. You'll start at $160 per hour.
What You'll Do
- Perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and assessments
- Prescribe medication and monitor side effects
- Supervise nurse practitioners and registered nurses; provide clinical oversight in coordination with other staff
- Participate in treatment planning and multidisciplinary team processes
- Maintain clinical documentation and reporting standards
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, licensing, and ethical guidelines
- Consult with external medical professionals as needed
- May provide direct therapy or emergency psychiatric consultation
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other clinicians to integrate care within a trauma informed model
What You Need
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
- A license to practice medicine independently in California
- Completion of a psychiatry residency and a 2 year child & adolescent fellowship
- Leadership and clinical skills that let you supervise teams effectively
- Comfort using electronic health records (EHRs)
