Outside Sales Representative
ARS/Rescue Rooter is a national name in plumbing and drain services. We're looking for someone to cover the San Diego, CA territory, selling our commercial services directly to businesses.
The pay structure is a base salary plus commission. The average total compensation range for this role is $80,000 to $150,000. Your base salary would be $52,000 per year, with a 7% commission opportunity on top of that.
What you'd do here
- Sell plumbing and drain cleaning services to commercial clients and industries.
- Your primary method is face to face meetings with business leaders out in the field.
- You'll generate your own sales leads and get referrals from current customers.
- A big part of the job is frequent follow up with prospects and existing clients to close deals and ensure they're happy.
- You need to maintain regular contact with your current customer base.
- There's an activity report to submit, and you'll have minimum monthly sales goals to hit.
What you need to bring
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required. This isn't optional; you'll be driving a company vehicle.
- We're looking for proven commercial sales experience.
- You should have a history of consistently exceeding sales goals. A hunter mentality fits well here.
- The role involves networking and cold calling, so strong skills there are important.
- You need solid organization skills and must be self motivated enough to work without constant supervision.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but we'll consider related experience or training as an equivalent substitute.
- Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft applications is needed.
- Experience in the service industry is a definite plus, but not a strict requirement.
