About This Role
What you'll actually do
You'll schedule and perform preventative maintenance on equipment like lyophilizers, liquid fillers, labeling machines, packaging machines, and water system equipment. That's the planned stuff. Then there's the unplanned stuff: diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical systems on manufacturing equipment when something goes sideways.
You'll install electrical power and pneumatic distribution hardware. You'll work with vendors to solve problems, figure out part costs, and buy parts. You'll diagnose and repair low voltage DC and AC electrical wiring and hardware. You'll keep the equipment shop tools, equipment, and the whole shop organized.
A chunk of this job is documentation. You'll write procedures, documents, and reports. You'll create and maintain metrics and data to hand off to supervisors. You'll also train lower level equipment maintenance technicians.
You'll support new equipment installation. And you'll travel between different Hologic facilities for equipment maintenance. You'll need to work weekends or other shifts sometimes. And you'll do other tasks as they come up.
