Healthcare Manager

Clarvida·San Diego, CA

About This Role

Here's the job. It's for a Clinical Manager in San Diego, CA, running the day to day of something called the Catalyst Program.

You'd be the person making sure everything administrative and clinical actually works. That means supervising a team, handling budgets and payroll, keeping up with all the required reporting, and making sure your staff has what they need to do good work. You're also the main point of contact for county contracts and community meetings. It's an on site, full time position.

What you'd be doing

  • Run the administrative side of the program; you decide how the daily workflow is structured.
  • Supervise service delivery and make sure all client documentation is done right.
  • Handle purchase requests, track budget spending, and submit expense reports.
  • Oversee timesheets, payroll coordination, and mileage reimbursements for your team.
  • Research and set up monthly training opportunities for staff development.
  • Keep computer systems updated and functional.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly reports with all the necessary program statistics.
  • Verify that your team's professional licenses and certifications are current.
  • Sometimes you'll need to drive clients in your personal vehicle to support their community engagement.
  • Your schedule needs to be flexible; evenings and weekends come up when they're needed.
  • Represent Clarvida at meetings with county partners and in the community.

The approach we take

The work here is about supporting recovery. You'd be expected to provide great care, focus on people's strengths; both clients' and staff's; and help everyone meet their wellness goals. We promote diversity, equity, and inclusion as a culture, not just a policy. And we believe in using best practices while always looking for ways to improve what we do. You'd report directly to the Program Director.

What you need to have

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related field. A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology also works.
  • A current license as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Clinical Psychologist; you need at least two years of being licensed under your belt.
  • A valid California driver’s license, auto insurance you can prove, and documentation of your education.
  • A minimum of one year working with very little supervision where you were making independent decisions.
  • The ability to manage program budgets, control expenses, and oversee service delivery effectively.

A background in behavioral health is preferred but not an absolute must have if other experience lines up. You should be comfortable leading a team. Your computer skills need to go beyond just basics; think intermediate level for reports and systems. Being organized is non negotiable here; so is communicating clearly with different groups of people while managing multiple priorities at once.

The pay & benefits

The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $92,000 per year. There's also a $2,000 sign on bonus when you start.
