Ultrasound Technologist

The Gist

MSO - HCA Methodist Physicians needs an Ultrasound Technologist for their San Antonio, TX practice. It's a full time position, Monday through Friday, day shift. No nights, no on call, no weekends, no holidays. You'll work with a team that actually backs each other up and cares about patient care as much as you do.

What You'll Actually Do

• Perform ultrasonic medical diagnostic procedures based on physician orders
• Schedule patients for their ultrasound diagnostic procedures
• Position patients and pick the right transducer for each exam
• Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment by moving the scanner over the specific body area and adjusting the sonographer equipment to get a clear image
• Handle all processing and documentation ; developing film, making hard copy images, documenting tests, and keeping department records, reports, and files accurate
• Maintain the ultrasound equipment and let management know if something's faulty
• Follow the Code of Conduct and the Mission and Values Statements

What You Need

• At least one year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer
• Certification in diagnostic ultrasound that meets your state's regulations
• Current ARRT or ARDMS license
• Florida only: You must have a current and unrevoked ARDMS
• Tennessee only: You must have a state license to perform imaging procedures in a physician practice
