Sales Director

This role is with a growing CPA firm in the western Philly suburbs. The firm's leaders have picked up awards from NAIOP and PICPA, and they've built a team that's both supportive and fun. It's a hybrid setup ; you'll be in the office 2 days and working from home 3 days.

The people here understand that work isn't everything. They're looking for someone who wants to stay long term, earn well, and grow into management.

What you'll actually do

• Be the main client contact. You'll build trust and deliver the kind of service that makes people want to stick with you.
• Run client meetings where you gather tax info and talk through strategy.
• Spot opportunities for tax savings and recommend tailored solutions.
• Prepare and review tax returns for all kinds of entities ; businesses, individuals, trusts.
• Dig into financial data to find deductions, credits, and incentives.
• Keep up with tax law changes so your work stays compliant.
• Conduct complex tax research and interpret regulations.
• Analyze how business transactions will shake out from a tax perspective.
• Write technical memos and recommendations that people can actually use.
• Work across practice areas, sharing what you know.
• Mentor the junior staff and help them get better.
• Contribute to a work environment that doesn't feel like a grind.

What you need to bring

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• A CPA license is preferred, but not absolutely required.
• At least 3 years of tax or accounting experience.
• Solid knowledge of tax law ; you should know it well, not just know of it.
• Comfort with tax software and Microsoft Office.
• You can talk to people clearly, and you can think analytically about complex problems.
• You handle multiple deadlines without dropping the ball.

Compensation and schedule

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $120,000 per year. It's a hybrid position: you'll work from home 3 days a week and come into the office 2 days.
