Radiology Technologist
About This Role
Radiology Technologist (LMRT) ; San Antonio, TX
This is a full time, weekday position. You'll work Monday through Friday, daytime hours only. No nights. No weekends. No holidays. No on call shifts.
That said, the role may require occasional alternate shifts and you might need to float to other practice locations within the system.
What you'll actually do
- Take x ray views of all bony anatomy based on provider orders, following state law and your license limits.
- Keep an eye on the equipment for any safety issues or mechanical problems.
- If something's off or unusual, let leadership know in a timely way.
- Stay current on all equipment updates and upgrades so you're always working with what's available.
- Work alongside clinic staff to make sure patient care is coordinated and consistent.
- Help keep clinic operations running efficiently as part of the team.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and company compliance policies closely.
What you need
Education: High school diploma or equivalent plus graduation from an accredited radiology sciences program that meets your state's requirements.
Experience: Previous work in a medical office setting is preferred but not required to start.
Licenses & certifications:
- A current, active Radiology certification that hasn't been revoked.
- A Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT) license valid in your state of residency.
- A Basic X ray machine operator license or certification that meets state requirements.
- A BLS certification may be needed depending on practice standards at your location.
