About This Role
Hey there. I'm looking for an OR RN to join the team at Methodist Hospital Northeast in San Antonio, TX. This is a dayshift position, but you've got to be ready to take call.
If you're the kind of nurse who wants to be part of what actually sets a hospital apart, this might be your spot. We're a full service, 232 bed facility with some serious specialties. We're home to a Joint Replacement Academy for knee and hip care, run a comprehensive neurosurgical program for spine and brain care, and hold certifications as both a Primary Stroke Center and an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The work here matters, and we handle it with the urgency it deserves.
The Work
You'll be circulating in the OR. Your main job is using your nursing process, critical thinking, and technical skills to deliver safe care independently. You're collaborating with the team to make sure patient outcomes are where they need to be.
- Communication and professionalism are non negotiable; we expect you to be engaged.
- Being adaptable and a reliable resource for your colleagues is key.
- At the end of the day, you're accountable for the quality of your nursing care and for being a positive representative of our profession.
What You Need to Bring
- A diploma or degree from an accredited RN program.
- At least six months of clinical experience as a licensed RN.
- A current Texas RN license or a compact license (with plans to get your Texas license within 60 days of starting).
- Your BCLS certification, which needs to be secured within your first 30 days if you don't have it already.
- ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
- Specific experience circulating in the operating room is mandatory for this role.
A Bit About What We Offer
We've built our benefits package with nurses in mind because we know how much you invest in your patients. Here's some of what's on the table:
- Tuition reimbursement and assistance programs to help you keep growing.
- A program that supports you financially when you're working on specialty certifications.
- A generous Paid Personal Leave policy.
- A 401k plan with a 100% annual match; they match 3% to 9% of your pay based on how long you've been here.
- The HCA Nurse Care Program offers support services just for nurses.
- Medical insurance, dental coverage, vision plans; the whole suite.
- Adoption assistance if you're growing your family that way.
- The chance to buy HCA Healthcare stock at a discount through our Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
We also put real resources behind helping you build the career you want. That includes a thorough orientation, mentorship from specialty educators, leadership development programs, and working with up to date technology on modern units. HCA's size means there are genuine paths here if you want them.
