Frontend Developer

The Role

Maximus TCS is looking for a Front End Developer to work onsite in San Antonio, TX five days a week. You'll need an active TS/SCI clearance to be considered. This is a mid level position where you'll be doing real front end engineering work, not just tweaking CSS.

You'll own the front end design and development efforts. That means creating technical drawings, mockups, and wireframes for PMO and stakeholder review. You'll plan and implement modifications to graphical user interfaces. You'll construct and optimize UI elements, work on navigation systems, and make sure user facing features are actually easy to use.

On the analytical side, you'll support process improvement, define requirements, build functional models, develop procedures, and draft functional architecture. This role touches both the creative and the technical sides of development.

What You Need to Qualify

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (a Master's can substitute for 2 years of experience)
• 7 years of experience in the functional area
• 7 years of software development experience with object oriented and scripted languages, plus tool suites for DevSecOps, microservices, and containers
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (Jira)
• 3 years of recent and relevant front end web design and development experience
• 3 years of testing web based applications
• 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab
• 5 years of experience with at least five of these: Apache, Ember, JavaScript, Jaguar, Java, Cricket, Node
• Experience with agile, user centric application design and UI/UX standards
• Experience generating wireframes and mockups for multiple user personas
• Experience preparing, conducting, and documenting systems tests and results
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment
• Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

• Agile Test Driven Development experience
• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments
• 5 years of CI/CD software development experience
• Experience with UX design tool suites like Sketch or InVision

Schedule and Location

This is a full time, onsite position in San Antonio, TX. You'll report to the office five days a week based on customer requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary is based on factors like job location, education, training, experience, quality and quantity of work, travel requirements, external market data, and internal pay alignment. Your salary history won't be used to determine your pay. Maximus also offers short- and long term incentives and program specific awards.
