Cardiac RN

The Role

You're a Cardiac Progressive Care RN at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan in San Antonio, TX. This isn't just another nursing job. You'll coordinate and deliver high quality, patient centered care for cardiac and medical surgical patients. Working alongside medical providers, you'll provide pre operative and post operative nursing care. And you'll be the advocate your patients need for an unparalleled experience.

What You'll Do

• Assess patient condition during admission and throughout each shift, identifying changes in status and reporting them promptly.
• Perform procedures or other functions ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care administration in the patient's medical record thoroughly and on time.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor how patients respond to them.
• Maintain solid knowledge of the medications, procedures, and equipment used specifically for cardiac and medical surgical patients.

Qualifications

• A Registered Nurse Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
• An active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of your employment start date.
