Call Center Representative

About This Role

Alright, let's talk about this job. It's an onsite call center role in San Antonio, TX where you're the frontline for customers who might be dealing with fraud on their accounts. You're not just answering questions; you're helping people solve real problems and protect their money. The training is paid, and they'll teach you everything you need to know.

The Work

You'll handle a steady stream of inbound calls. Your main job is to listen, figure out what's going on with a customer's account, and determine if something looks suspicious.

  • Use your training and our systems to investigate potential fraud and recommend the next steps.
  • You'll monitor card alerts and reports to spot unusual activity.
  • If fraud is confirmed, you process the disputes and claims following specific client rules.
  • Some situations need a second look, so you'd escalate those cases to the right team.
  • Every call and action gets logged in our database for accuracy.
  • Handling sensitive information is a big part of this. You have to keep everything confidential and share details only with authorized people, which is both a legal requirement and a matter of trust.
  • The tone matters here. You're communicating about stressful situations, so warmth and empathy are crucial while staying professional and compliant.
  • We all pitch in when it gets busy or someone's out, so supporting the team to keep things running smoothly is part of the deal.

The Schedule & Pay

This is a full time position at our office on 2822 General Hudnell Dr. in San Antonio, TX. The base pay is $16.75 per hour.

There are shift differentials on top of that. If your shift falls between 6 PM and 6 AM any day of the week, you get an extra $1.50 per hour. If you work Saturday or Sunday between 6 AM and 6 PM, that's an extra $1.00 per hour.

After your training period, there's a monthly incentive plan. By hitting performance metrics, you could earn up to an additional $350 each month. Overtime opportunities come up based on business needs too.

What You Need To Bring

A few things are non negotiable for this role:

  • You must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of six months experience in customer service, a call center, or dispatch work is required.
  • The hiring process includes passing a background check, a credit check, and security fingerprinting.
  • The job is 100% onsite at our San Antonio, TX office; remote work isn't an option.
  • The initial paid training lasts three to five weeks, and they need you to commit to perfect attendance for that period.

A Good Fit Looks Like...

We're looking for someone who can take complicated info about fraud procedures and explain it clearly and calmly to customers. Problem solving skills are key; you're connecting dots between what the customer says, what you see on screen, and what the policies dictate.

You'll be navigating several computer applications simultaneously while keeping the customer engaged and guided toward a solution. It requires focus and multitasking. If you have six months of experience in banking or another financial industry setting? That's definitely preferred but not mandatory if your other experience is strong.

Training & Growth

The training is comprehensive and fully paid. They set you up with knowledge about fraud analysis, client systems, compliance; the whole picture. This isn't meant to be just a job; there are defined paths here if you want to build a career within the company.
