Assistant Store Manager

Alright, let's talk about this job. I'm recruiting for an Assistant Store Manager at a Rooms To Go showroom in San Antonio, TX. We're big, we're growing, and we need leaders who know how to build a team that sells.

The Role

You'll run the day to day of the showroom. Sales, customer service, keeping the place looking sharp; it all comes back to you. Your main focus is the sales team. They work on commission, so your job is to mentor, train, and coach them. Help them get better at what they do, improve the customer's experience, and watch both store profits and their personal income go up.

That means setting goals with each consultant every month, making action plans, and giving them the support and motivation they need to hit their targets. You'll jump into sales yourself sometimes too; it's a good way to lead by example and teach your team something new in the process. And you're responsible for keeping the team's morale positive. It's a hands on job where you see the direct impact of your work.

What You Need

• A minimum of 2 years in retail sales management. Experience specifically in furniture and with commissioned sales associates is a major plus.
• You have to be good at coaching people and motivating a team to get results.
• Strong communication skills are required; both talking and writing. Being fluent in both English and Spanish is preferred.
• You should know your way around basic computer programs: Outlook, Word, Excel.
• The schedule isn't a standard 9 to 5. You need to be willing to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• You've got to want this. A real desire to succeed in a sales driven environment is key.

Pay & Benefits

The salary starts at $60,000 per year, based on your experience.
