Account Manager

Alright, let's talk about this role. We're a full service law firm with offices across the country and a global reach. Our attorneys handle sophisticated legal matters for large corporations and innovators alike, and we're looking to add someone to our international trade compliance practice.

The Work

You'd be joining a supportive group focused on cutting edge trade compliance issues. Your main job is providing strategic legal counsel across a broad range of international trade and regulatory matters.

• Advising clients on federal regulations like ITAR, EAR, sanctions (OFAC), and CFIUS rules.
• Investigating potential regulatory violations and drafting voluntary disclosures.
• Helping clients build out their internal compliance programs and policies.
• Giving legal guidance on trade compliance for business transactions and daily operations.
• Representing clients in dealings with federal enforcement agencies.

What You'll Need

We need someone who can jump in and contribute from day one. Here’s the profile we have in mind.

• A minimum of two years of experience in trade compliance matters is required.
• Your background should specifically include work with ITAR, EAR, sanctions regulations, and CFIUS.
• Experience working in house or for a government agency is a definite plus.
• You need top tier legal research, writing, and communication skills; attention to detail is non negotiable here.
• A strong academic record that shows your commitment to excellence.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with both clients and colleagues; you’re professional and you adapt well.

The Details & How We Support You

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $300,000 per year. On top of that, there's a healthy annual bonus opportunity. The billable hour expectation is 1,800 annually, which we've found gives people room for a real life outside the office. This role has a flexible hybrid schedule based out of our San Antonio, TX office.
