The Role

Warehouse associates are the foundation of what Core Mark does in Salt Lake City, UT. This isn't a desk job ; it's active, physical work where you'll move product through our distribution center. You'll work independently, stay safe, and keep things moving efficiently.

Pay starts at $17.75 an hour, though the exact rate depends on which department and shift you're on.

Schedule

The schedule has two phases. During training, you'll work Monday through Friday. Once training is done, it shifts to Sunday through Thursday.

Shifts start at either 3:00 PM or 11:00 PM, and you work until the job is finished. That's it ; no set end time, just the work gets done.

What You'll Actually Do

• Select products based on printed customer orders and the delivery sequence for each route.
• Consolidate merchandise into product containers and move them to the right spots.
• Direct extra inventory to its proper storage location.
• Keep enough stock on hand to handle routine orders and any special requests.
• Maintain an orderly workstation ; return supplies and merchandise where they belong.
• Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines.
• Make sure your work area is safe, and report any unsafe conditions or acts right away.
• Verify and scan the proper location for each product.
• Monitor existing stock and transfer items where needed.
• Separate large units into pick quantities and shelve them properly.
• Handle other related duties as they come up.

What You Need

• A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• You must be able to work the scheduled times and any required overtime.
• You'll stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout your shift.
• You'll lift, stack, or pull products off shelves and replenish stock from various heights. The weights range from 10 to 35 pounds, and generally up to about 60 to 90 pounds depending on the location.
• You need to be able to get certified for powered equipment, like forklift operation.
• You'll pass a post offer drug test and a criminal background check.
